It’s the biggest comedy event in Philadelphia this year!
The ComedySportz World Championship 2019 is coming to Philadelphia. Thirty teams from across the country and Europe descend on the City of Brotherly Love to compete for the title of ComedySportz World Champion.
The championship takes place July 22-28, 2019.
All matches take place at The Wilma Theater (265 S. Broad Street) on The Avenue of the Arts.
This is the second time CSz Philadelphia has hosted the world championship. “The last time we hosted was in 2010.” says Executive Director Don Montrey. “We’ve grown as a company, CSz Worldwide has grown, and Philly is a totally different city. We’ve all changed a lot in the past 9 years; it felt like a great time to reintroduce our friends to the greatest city, with the greatest fans in the world.”
During the week the players take workshops and tour the city checking out famous Philly landmarks like The Art Museum, the Italian Market, and the Liberty Bell.
Matches take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. The full schedule, tickets, and other exciting news will be announced over the next few weeks.
